Meet the Doctor: Michael Yung, MD

How, when and why did you decide to pursue a career in medicine?

My parents were both nurses, so I was exposed to the medical field through them. The opportunity to help people overcome illness and live their best life was what drew me to a career in medicine.

What do you like most about your job?

I love the daily challenges that radiology brings. Every day, you see challenging cases and have to work through them to make sure you are giving the patient the best outcomes possible! Also, the opportunity to collaborate with other physicians daily.

What is your favorite way to spend free time?

Hunting, fishing, spending time with family and watching Husker games!

What do you like most about working at RIA?

The ability to collaborate with subspecialized radiologists to solve problems and provide excellent care to patients is what I like most about RIA.
